Securing Personal Identifiable Information

The importance of security for all transactional information associated with our customers is of utmost concern to us. Notwithstanding any unforeseeable computer errors, all your requests to the server are created over a secure connection (HTTPS). If you have an account on our website, your password is encrypted by Shopify. Whenever sensitive information (such as a credit card number) needs to be transmitted to process orders, that information is encrypted and is protected with the best PCI compliant encryption software in the industry, known as Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”). If you have a Cabana Elite account and have saved your credit card information, your credit card information will be shared with a third-party Subscription Management service. Your credit card data is encrypted and stored for future auto-billing. At Canna Cabana Inc. you can be assured that your transactional information is as secure as possible, consistent with current industry standard SSL encryption technology. Our secure servers protect the information using state of the art firewall technology. However, no data transmission over the internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
In the event of a security breach wherein personal information is accessed without authorisation, we will inform you if the breach may result in significant harm. We will also report breaches to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and/or to the substantially similar provincial equivalents, as required by law.
Note i.e. our program for managing privacy breaches, notification systems, processing access requests, and how we will respond to inquiries and complaints.

When you complete a purchase online, personal information is provided to Shopify in order to facilitate your purchase. Other third parties may have access to your personal information in order to improve your experience on our website, improve the security of your visit, or facilitate the delivery of goods you have purchased. Canna Cabana Inc. DOES NOT SHARE, SELL or RENT your personal or transactional information to others.

This does not apply to Cabana Club members in British Columbia. In British Columbia, Cabana Club member information is only used for the distribution of mail outs and promotional materials.
